Responsibilities Work in a 34-bed medical surgical telemetry unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes orthopedic, spine, general surgery, bariatric, and some medicine overflow Cardiac and oxygen monitoring capability present on the unit Typically receives 10-20 post-op patients per day Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Float to other units within skillset may be required First-time travelers may be considered if they meet post-op surgical experience requirements References from 2 supervisors within the past 3 years are required for consideration This is a fast-paced, high-volume unit Must provide documentation of required certifications at time of consideration Requirements Active KY or compact RN license Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Experience caring for post-op surgical patients is necessary, especially orthopedics and gastrointestinal surgeries Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626219.
