Quality Engineer

Summary / Objective :

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plastic injection molding, particularly in automotive products.

They will demonstrate a proven track record in staff development, quality program implementation, and effective customer interaction regarding quality-related matters.

The role will oversee the quality management system, ensuring consistent production quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Quality Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain a robust quality system compliant with industry standards and regulations to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage quality assurance and documentation control functions to support financial objectives.
  • Monitor and adjust quality systems in response to voluntary standards, regulatory changes, and customer demands.
  • Serve as the management representative for all quality system matters.
  • Conduct internal audits and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage the customer complaint system and associated corrective actions.
  • Oversee the Corrective Action / Preventive Action system (CAPA).
  • Facilitate customer quality surveys and address corrective actions.
  • Supervise first article inspection, quality engineering, and document control functions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through training in problem-solving methodologies.
  • Supervise technical staff and ensure proper execution of tests and evaluations.
  • Establish quality-related training programs.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to define supplier quality performance criteria and conduct supplier audits.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the organization.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer auditors and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Define service standards for customers or clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Engineer

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in custom product manufacturing.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality procedures, including IATF 16949 : 2016 compliance.
  • Certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in engineering principles and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with precision mechanical measurement equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deliver technical presentations.
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional working ability.
  • Ethical conduct and customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Organized and goal-oriented with a willingness to travel.
