The Opportunity Provide office and administrative support for the physical therapy department under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Supervisor.
Collaborate with the clinical administrative assistant (CAA) team to manage the reception area efficiently and ensure smooth communication between reception and treatment areas.
Key Responsibilities Support clinical staff in physical therapy, serving as the initial and final point of contact for patients / clients.
Utilize the Electronic Health Record System (EHR) for efficient patient scheduling and management. Manage reception area to ensure smooth operations and effective communication between reception and treatment areas.
Administer surveys and questionnaires as required and assist with patient check-out procedures. Process payments for physical therapy invoices using P card procedures and handle other related tasks.
Provide administrative support to the supervisor, including scheduling coordination and assistance with administrative duties.
Support all staff by tracking time and visit-sensitive information, and assisting with billing and data entry responsibilities.
This is a part-time ( 9-month, 32 hour / week, benefits eligible endowed position) that is based in Ithaca, NY and fully on-site.
Work hours are 9 : 30 am -5 : 00 pm Monday through Friday. What We Need Formal training beyond High School of six months to one year in a health-related field.
2 to 3 years of experience providing support in a high-demand, high-volume office setting with in-person customer interactions.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in electronic health record systems being highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Effective customer service skills and ability to interact with individuals in emotional or physical distress or crisis.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding health records. Diplomacy in handling various situations and a strong customer service orientation.
