Position Summary : We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and be capable of handling multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking of projects.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • AIA Billing is a MUST HAVE.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and construction-specific accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
