Perform functions to develop, maintain, and specify manufacturing processes to
manufacture the company product lines on an economical and efficient basis.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as but not limited to machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods and processes, and routings.
- Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and / or quality problems.
- Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings as required and establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters for all type of equipment.
- Recommend, justify, and implement the installation of new equipment and Processes.
- Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
- Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes.
- Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations.
- Maintain production equipment.
- Perform facilities maintenance
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study (Mechanical / Mgf / Industrial Technology)
- 3-5+ Years industry related experience with manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, machining, assembly and company operations, product lines and practices or equivalent.
- Ability to collaborate with coworkers, shop personnel, and outside vendors
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques
- Must possess strong analytical ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- General experience working with SAP ERP Business System.
- Experience with production equipment programming
- Knowledge of AutoCad
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Knowledge of Pro E
