Job Summary
We are a growing, reputable PA-based Civil Engineering / Land Surveying firm who are seeking a Land Surveyor or PLS to join our team.
Land Surveyor Qualifications :
Land Surveyor Licensure if licensed out of state, must be willing to obtain an additional license in PA.
4+ years of experience in land development, construction, and boundary projects and working with municipalities.
Must have field experience collecting data, as well as operating / maintaining / calibrating required equipment.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GPS equipment.
Land Surveyor Responsibilities :
Draft survey documents, manage and train field team members, adhere to project timelines, and communicate with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Assist with developing scope of work, proposals, and maintain project budget.
Maintain field documents (sketches, traverses, and benchmark data) and develop these criteria into their required formats for Engineers, Project Managers, and Drafters.
Partner with the team to assist with the production of Record of Surveys, ALTA / NSPS Surveys, Boundary Line Agreements & Adjustments, Easement Exhibits, etc.
as required per project.
Comprehend legal descriptions and produce them as necessary.
Perform legal and survey record research to determine viable project information such as boundaries, deeds, easements, vacations, dedications, ROW, and title reports.
Complete topographic surveys, construction staking, and resolve boundaries.
Field travel is limited to the tri-county area (50 miles).
