We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, where you will play a vital part in our company's financial operations.
Your main responsibility will be to analyze and document financial transactions from newly acquired properties. This role is an on-site position.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze and document financial transactions from new property acquisitions
- Start and maintain fresh books for each new acquisition
- Use Microsoft Excel to perform various functions and formulas
- Perform accounting duties such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations
- Maintain and manage the General Ledger
- Execute Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures
- Experience using financial software like Yardi, NetSuite, Oracle, Orion ERP, Buildium, or AppFolio
- Be open to working overtime and occasional Saturdays when needed
- Gain and utilize Yardi experience (highly preferred but not required)
- Leverage experience working with property acquisition (preferred).
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
- Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management
- Familiarity with the process of Journal Entries
- Experience with Month End Close processes
- Knowledge of Yardi software for accounting purposes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
