They must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
One must maintain knowledge in radiation protection and safety. Preparation and administration of contrast media is performed in accordance with hospital policy.
The use of critical thinking, professional and ethical judgment is to be demonstrated in the quality of care delivered. Performs CT procedures following the protocols established by the referring physicians or Radiologists.
Operates CT scanner to produce cross sectional anatomical images of consistent optimal quality. Operates CT equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, following established safety guidelines.
Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Experience Relevant Experience (Preferred) License / Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support (Required) RT(R)(CT) - Reg Technologist (R) (CT) (Required) or RT(R) - Reg Technologist (R) (Required) ARRT - Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst (Required) CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Required) Additional placements at Temple Health either need to be vaccinated or have an agency approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
