Summary

You will work closely with the engineering team members to gather information, conduct research, and create well-structured and comprehensive files.

Your exceptional writing skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in producing written documents that effectively communicate our organization's capabilities and value.

As a Project Assistant, your role will be to provide support and assistance to the engineering team in preparing high-quality written documents.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and Critical Skills / Expertise :

Research and Analysis :

  • Gather relevant information and data to support written document development.
  • Support the creation of engineering specifications and written proposal documents.

Documents Writing :

  • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading written document content.
  • Ensure clarity, consistency, and coherence of messaging throughout the writings.
  • Tailor document content to specific client requirements and industry standards.
  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, punctuation, style, and formatting.
  • Conduct quality checks to verify consistency in tone, style, and messaging.

Documents Coordination :

  • Maintain documents templates, engineering files, and other relevant resources.
  • Track written document progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather and incorporate feedback into office documents.

Ensure compliance with formatting and submission guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience in documents writing, technical writing, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with technical document development processes and techniques.

No driving required

All employees must pass Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening and follow all UIC Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program guidelines and requirements.
