New Story School in Lancaster is seeking a qualified Social Worker (Master's level LSW) to provide a variety of direct and indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to improve academic, social-emotional, and behavioral outcomes.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides a continuum of services to students
  • Provides group services utilizing evidence-based programs
  • Provides individual counseling to achieve targeted social and emotional goals or meet short-term needs
  • Assists students and families in accessing community resources and provides case management.
  • Facilitates interagency communication with community-based mental health providers.
  • Leads and / or participates in MTSS meetings, IEP meetings, student teaming, program meetings, SAIP Meetings, etc.
  • Participates in admissions review, interview, and case consultation for new students.
  • WORK SKILLS
  • Assesses students' risk of harm to self and others and facilitates access to emergency services.
  • Consults with school team on barriers to success (e.g., attendance, homelessness, abuse, or neglect).
  • Facilitates interagency communication with community-based mental health providers.
