General Description :
A Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a light vehicle, such as a box truck or van. A Delivery driver will deliver product to our clients, pick up and / or deliver items from vendors, off campus venues and other Culinary Academy of Las Vegas operations.
The Delivery Driver will be responsible for filling and completing all orders on their routes, ensuring accuracy, delivery on time and providing excellent customer service when delivering the product.
The Delivery Driver will assist in other Food and Beverage operations as needed in between routes. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all vehicles.
Essential Functions :
- Provide the highest level of customer service standards as outlined by CALVs LEAD with PRIDE initiative.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Complete vehicle inspection report daily.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles safely.
- Ensure that all orders are complete and correct as stated on Event orders and have all orders verified by manager on duty.
- Present all items to the clients and ensure understanding of all special requests.
- Have clients sign event orders.
- Return Signed event orders to manager on duty.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the manager on duty and inform clients of any delays.
- Support the culinary staff during down times.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma AND one (1) year of driving a light vehicle such as a truck or van. Must be able to show proof of insurability on vehicles.
Must be able to pass an extensive Federal Background Check. Must demonstrate the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure.
Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and kneeling.
Licensing and Certification :
- Valid drivers license
- SNHD Food Handlers Card
Note : Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be obtained from an accredited educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Knowledge of how to operate a light vehicle such as a truck or van. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
knowledge of the general Las Vegas and North Las Vegas areas; must be multi-task oriented, high level of professionalism, calm and collected under pressure.
Skilled in organization & time management. Must possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate and convey information effectively, persuasively, and accurately. Must be able to multi-task, maintain a high level of professionalism, and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations with the ability to use independent judgment.
