Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Director to join our dedicated team at Galloway Senior Living.
The Maintenance Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical well-being and comfort of our residents by overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and a genuine passion for contributing to the well-being of seniors.
Responsibilities :
Facility Maintenance :
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
Team Leadership :
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to maintenance staff to ensure high standards of work and efficiency.
Project Management :
- Coordinate and oversee renovation and improvement projects as needed.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
Emergency Response :
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address unforeseen issues promptly.
- Act as the point of contact for emergency situations and liaise with relevant authorities as needed.
Budget Management :
- Work closely with the management team to develop and manage the maintenance budget effectively.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of service.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and management, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels.
