Experienced Paralegal
A prestigious law firm is looking to add a stellar Paralegal to their office.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background and be able to handle assignments from various attorneys, be a self-starter who can work on their own, and be detail-oriented.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of legal matters.
The Paralegal will :
- Support legal counsel in all stages of legal process
- Manage the discovery process, including the collection, retention, and production of documents, and assist counsel in drafting discovery responses
- Draft basic legal documents, including settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters.
- Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits
- Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Notary a plus
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum 4+ years experience in :
- Organizing large caseloads, discovery and trial preparation
- Experience in one or more of the following areas : probate / estate planning, real estate, litigation, or franchise law.
- Office management
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Great time management and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to act independently and with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with trial presentation software
