E01 Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Academic Affairs, the Academic Instructional Program Manager oversees the operational management of specified program in Academic Affairs department.
Management of instructional programs which include tutoring, study and conversational groups, supplemental instruction, and workshops.
Serve as the communication liaison between the Assistance Centers for Education, Academic Affairs Departments, and other departments in the College.
Support student success by providing effective instructional support programs for students and may work with external constituents.
Leadership and management of program and the generation of program ideas to build and support expending initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides resource management to ensure students, faculty, and the community have access to instructional support programs.
- Assists in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures, design and implementation of facilities and program.
- Provides effective leadership, communication, and coordination for the departments activities. Manages programs which include planning, coordinating, and executing program activities.
Assists Academic Affairs Director with the purchase order requests.
- Appropriately address student and faculty concerns and / or complaints.
- Daily supervision of personnel. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, assessing performance, coaching, mentoring, investigating misconduct, administering discipline, and maintaining workplace safety.
- Assists with the planning of continuous professional development for staff.
- Coordinates with the Institutional Research and Planning Department on reports to measure instructional programs effect on student success in the classroom and develop initiatives to improve student performance.
- Assists in the development and implementation of reporting systems for ongoing data collection to support the development and improvement of procedures and programs.
- Assists in determining department priorities and service standards.
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and communication, for marketing the Assistance Center for Education instructional support programs.
- Collaborates with departments to include the coordination of various programs and educational services.
- Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with faculty and staff to identify student academic needs in the development and delivery of appropriate academic support programs and services.
- Collaborates with schools to develop new instructional support programs and maintain existing programs.
- Assists with the planning of continuous professional development for staff to include annual conferences and certifications.
- Assists with the development and management of the budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
- A Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years related experience. Which includes three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Preference for someone who has taught at the Academic Level
