The salary for this position is $4,317.00 - $5,742.00 Monthly.

Thurston County Superior Court is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant I.

The candidate in this position is responsible for providing specific administrative and technical support to Superior Court's therapeutic programs including but not limited to DUI / Drug Court, Family Recovery Court, and Safe Babies Program.

At times, this employee may participate as a member of these programs and may be assigned responsibilities for a specific function of the program, such as weekly court calendars, supply purchasing, expense tracking and graduation coordination.

Other duties may include but are not limited to :

  • Entering participant data in case management systems.
  • Preparation of calendars and court documentation, which may include :
  • Ensuring participants appear on weekly calendar. Or, when participants are not on the calendar, filing notice with the County Clerk's office to ensure they are added to appropriate calendars.
  • Reviewing weekly Court Reports submitted by treatment counselors and ensuring the program compliance is current and consistent with data on record, including but not limited to toxicology, fees, completion of sanctions, and any other court ordered action.
  • Regular monitoring and reporting of client urinalysis results for all Superior Court Therapeutic Courts.
  • Collecting documentation from program participants to include copies of pay-stubs, school transcripts, copies of diplomas / GED, proof of payment for legal financial obligations, child-support, and contact with law enforcement.
  • Communication of participant concerns to Manager or Coordinator.
  • Assist in the compiling of data used in reports and / or presentations to County stakeholder groups, boards, and committees.
  • Assist in the drafting of policy and procedure for program functions and activity.
  • Provide coverage of essential responsibilities for the Program Coordinator in their absence.

Please note : the incumbent in this position must have the ability to travel short distances between work sites.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of college level coursework in office support, general business, or another closely related field.
  • Three years of general office experience, with at least two years in a senior level office support position which includes experience independently coordinating projects and creating complex documents and reports.

Additional experience may substitute college education year for year.

  • Ability to use computer equipment and related software programs is required.
  • A current Washington State Driver's License may be required.
