com) GSVS Veterinary Emergency Services East Brunswick is a township in Middlesex County, in New Jersey. Garden State Veterinary Services , our sister ER / Specialty practice, has relocated to a 30,000 sq-ft facility in Woodbridge, as this will allow us to provide more advanced care for the communities of both our Iselin and Woodbridge locations.

We are looking for Veterinary Technicians (CVT or Experienced) who would like to join our family and help us continue to provide veterinary care to the community we have faithfully served since 1994.

Schedule : Practice open 7 days / week, 1PM - 10PM Shift hours are from 12 : 30pm 10 : 30pm, Sunday - Tuesday Veterinary Assistants at GSVS work alongside veterinary technicians and emergent care doctors and have access to the most advanced diagnostic tools to provide the best possible care.

On any given day, you can expect to do the following as a veterinary assistant : Provide support to doctors and technicians Restrain patients for exams and procedures Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing Monitor and document patient’s vital signs Assist with obtaining radiographs Properly use and maintain hospital equipment Once these skills are mastered and trust with the team is built, with continued oversight and training, you can expect to begin learning how to : Perform medical math calculations Provide high level nursing care to all patients Administer medications Place IVCs and obtain blood samples from various access points About you : 1 year of veterinary experience is preferred Ability to take direction Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude Excellent communication and organizational skills Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
