Mission / Purpose
The Inergize Health Service Technician will be at the forefront of our customer experience. We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who can expertly assess, diagnose, and repair our cutting-edge chillers that are returned under warranty.
As part of this role, you will handle the reception, repair, testing, repackaging, and shipping of units, all while delivering outstanding customer service .

You will also handle problem-solving calls with customers , de-escalating refund claims , and offering updates on the repair status of their units.
An ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heat pump repairs and a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems.

Responsibilities :
- Repair and Maintenance : Efficiently manage the receipt, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers, ensuring accurate data recording and timely communication with the Inergize Customer Service Team.
- Customer Troubleshooting : Conduct video troubleshooting calls with customers to address technical issues remotely, and de-escalate warranty and refund claims.
- Inventory Management : Maintain the stock of spare parts and refurbished units, ensuring timely reorders to keep repairs running smoothly.
- Supplier Communication : Collaborate directly with our Chinese suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring the fastest turnaround times.
- Event Support : Assist with events , including setting up and maintaining chillers and tubs on-site, helping collect customer information to support post-event sales.

Required Skills & Experience :
Required
- Electrical Systems Knowledge : 2+ years of experience working with electrical schematics or HVAC systems.
- Power Flow Expertise : Ability to understand power flow from outlets through capacitors and printed circuit boards to individual components.
- Hands-On Experience : Prior experience in heat pump servicing or similar aftermarket service fields.
- Basic Tool Set : Must own the tools required to repair units.
- Transportation : Able to drive to Point Loma.
- Tech-Savvy : Proficient with Word, Excel, G-Sheets, Slack, Asana, and Email.
Preferred
- Compressor, Pump, LCD, Fan Knowledge : Experience working with these components.
- Project Management Skills : Experience with Asana or similar software.
- Shipping Logistics Knowledge : Familiar with shipping software like Shipstation .
- Remote Work Setup : Access to a home garage or workbench to perform remote repairs.
- Vehicle for Transport : Having a truck or van for transporting units is a big plus!
Nice to haves
- Experience with Calendly or Google Meetings for customer and team interactions.
- Experience with Shopify for managing service orders.
Location : Based in San Diego, ideally close to Point Loma
Hours : Starting at 10-15 hours per week with flexible scheduling from 3pm-5pm Monday-Friday .
Pay : Competitive pay range of $19 - $30 / hour , based on experience.
