JOB SUMMARY FOR Systems Analyst :

- Duties : Responsible for planning, developing, testing, and implementing IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity, as well as support business strategies and goals;
- identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications;
- determine if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are feasible; map process flows and determine if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems, as well as ensure proper integration, testing, and system / user documentation;
- understand the client’s existing business processes, the key drivers and measures of success, and the short-and long-term direction of business and technology;
- understand the customer’s overall IT architecture and the issues and implications of proposed system and hardware solutions;
- support one or more highly complex or critical business processes / systems, and design or integrate technical solutions that cross multiple functions of the business;
- utilize Quick Test Professional (QTP), COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, File Manager, SPUFI, SQL, PL / SQL, and MS ACCESS to perform duties;
- act as project team member for projects large in scope and high in complexity; work in close collaboration with the Project Manager and business users to gather, analyze and document the functional requirements for the project;
- extensively work on coding; work with the team to provide overall leadership; responsible for creating Visual Basic automation macros;
- use Mainframe technical skills and provide technical and procedural support for code updates and User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
and responsible for writing complex SQL queries and using Agile methodology.
- Location : Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
- Salary : $110,240 per year;
- Minimum Qualifications :
- Education : Master’s Degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
- Experience : Two (2) years in the position above, as a Programmer Analyst, as a Software Engineer, as a Software Developer, as a System Analyst, as a Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation;
- Other Requirements : Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following : Quick Test Professional (QTP), COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, File Manager, SPUFI, SQL, PL / SQL, and MS ACCESS.
