Become a Supply Chain Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role you will be responsible for providing high-level counsel on complex policy issues, strategic planning, and implementation of programs including supplier management, qualification, and risk.
The Supply Chain Senior Advisor will partner with Enterprise Risk Management, Ethics and Compliance, Cybersecurity and Procurement leaders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.

Builds strategic relationships and collaborates with business partners to ensure alignment with SCE and organizational, mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Develops project plans and provides direction to team. Resolves issues when they arise and escalates as necessary. Anticipates potential issues, develops, and recommends courses of action.
- Leads projects to identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including but not limited to supplier financial stability, geopolitical factors, natural disasters, regulatory compliance, and operational disruptions.
- Develops and executes supplier management program, including supplier qualification and periodic risk assessment activities.
- Administers a documentation management system for the supplier management program.
- Evaluates suppliers and provides recommendations for supplier selection, development, and performance improvement.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and supplier representatives to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality and performance.
- Engages with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, operations, and quality, to align supplier management objectives with business goals.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on supply chain risk and supplier qualification, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
- Stays informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to supply chain risk management and supplier qualification.
- Leads and works with cross functional teams and forums across the company on projects / initiatives that are complex, requiring negotiating skills to build consensus with collaborators, maintain partnerships and deliver successful results.
- Develops and implements metrics to monitor area of responsibility, identifies gaps, and implements plans to remediate.
- Provides mentorship and leadership to team members.
The essentials
- Ten (10) or more years of experience managing projects, programs, or consulting for Supplier Qualification and Risk Management program and / or experience in program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience and knowledge of supply chain processes, risk assessment methodologies, and / or supplier evaluation frameworks.
The preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, economics, supply chain, or related field.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with SAP Ariba and / or SAP Fieldglass or equivalent solutions.
- Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide outstanding service to internal and external customers.
- Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
- CPSM, CPCM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or related certification.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
