Position Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in areas related specifically to water research.
We seek candidates with a focus on applied hydrologic sciences and water-related technologies, particularly those with expertise in advanced sensor materials, innovative sampling technologies, intelligent sensor signal processing, next-generation Internet of Things (IoT), and critical infrastructure for water-related research.
Detailed Position Information
The ECE department and College are looking to add faculty who will build upon existing strengths and expand the scope of research.
Candidates must demonstrate potential to develop, lead, mentor, and extramurally fund a highly productive research group.
Collaboration with existing faculty and a commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated excellence in scholarly research and a strong commitment to teaching.
A record of impactful scholarly publications is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated record of high-quality research and scholarly publications recognized nationally and / or internationally. Significant experience related to water observing technologies in an engineering context.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are desired.
