As an Eastern Regional Business Manager-Packaging, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by :
- Manage, develop, train, and lead a team of territory-based sales professionals across the Eastern US
- Develop and foster a winning sales culture built around accountability
- Drive GROWTH - Deliver results including OSG% quota target, price, and volume
- Set and manage clear sales goals and expectations that are tied to the right behaviors to deliver results
- Lead and manage all aspects of the packaging business with a focus on core end markets like food and beverage, healthcare, and e-commerce / fulfillment verticals
- Work closely with the packaging channel sales organization to align proper growth programs to drive the business
- Target and open new end-user accounts in core markets focused on the packaging portfolio of solutions
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key end users
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline utilizing 3M CRM salesforce.com. Meet monthly sf.com targets for opportunities created and closed.
- Align with ISD Packaging's global portfolio and activation marketing initiative to drive accretive growth in the region.
- Be the point person to support ISD Packaging in the region. This includes connecting with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, customer service, quality, etc.
- Manage and be accountable to the 3M Systems tape agreement program
- Support Marketing and Supply chain with forecasting key account demand planning to ensure service and accurate inventory management.
- Directs and coordinates region sales resources according to the agreed-upon plan for the market and Packaging business unit
- Has responsibility for functional strategic planning, including establishing and managing budgets in the immediate organization.
Approves assigned programs and budget deviations as well as overall resources to meet business objectives.
Determines priorities, and timetables and assigns resources / tasks. Accountable for the activities and results of their functional area.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Eight (8) years of combined experience in sales, channel, and / or marketing in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven ability to deliver results
- Previous experience working at 3M Corporate HQ
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in sales or channel functions
- Experience in a matrix environment or other complex organizational structure
- Time spent working in core ISMC divisions
- Experience with direct customer contact
- Experience managing corner office relationships with key distribution
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position (if applicable)
Location : Remote Maplewood, MN or East Region of United States
Travel : May include up to 50% domestic
Relocation : May be authorized
