Essential Functions :

  • Attends work as scheduled and follows community’s call-off procedures
  • Accurately and safely prepares, assists and documents the oral / topical / infectable medications that are commonly used in this community and that are ordered for resident use by physician.
  • Properly administers medication to assigned residents.
  • Follows the labeling policies and practices of the community.
  • Assists with medication charting as directed by the DRC
  • Assists in documenting and removing medications that are expired or discontinued by attending physician.
  • Accurately measures, records, and reports the vital signs of residents.
  • Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
  • Promptly notify the DRC of any errors or reactions to medications by residents.
  • Ensure that no medication is assisted without a written, signed, dated order from an attending licensed physician.
  • Follow the community’s procedures allowing residents to self-administer medications.
  • Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, feeding, toileting, and other activities of daily living.
  • Follows the residents service plan in providing care.
  • Abide by all health and safety regulations and community standards.
  • Respects Residents Rights.
  • Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
  • Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.

Non-Essential Functions :

  • Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills, LLC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description :

Looking for Reliable Medtechs / Caregivers who are PUNCTUAL, ON TIME, and have a desire to provide quality care for our most vulnerable citizens!

Looking to fill open cases in LAS VEGAS and surrounding cities.

COVID & NON COVID SHIFTS AVAILABLE (HAZARD PAY FOR COVID SHIFTS)

QUALIFICATIONS :

1. Must have at least one year of experience in home care, private-duty home care setting, or skilled nursing / independent / memory care facilities.

2. Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate in English, and / or the predominate language of the population being serviced and must be able to read and write.

3. Demonstrates competency in performing all skills.

4. Pass a criminal background check.

5. Meet all medical requirements.

6. Have reliable transportation and method of communication.

7. Is punctual, dependable and demonstrates sound judgment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Follows the established Plan of Care.

2. Assists with "Activities of daily living" means the functions or tasks for self-care which are performed either independently or with supervision or assistance.

Activities of daily living include mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, undressing, eating, and toileting, per the Plan of Care.

3. Assists with Independent Activities of daily living which may include light housekeeping, shopping, laundry and meal preparation, per the Plan of Care.

4. Accompany clients to appointments / community activities.

5. Provides assistance with medication reminders, per Plan of Care.

6. Understands and maintains infection control and safety measures

7. Reports any and all changes in the client’s condition to the Care Manager or BOM.

8. Completes the Activity Records and accurately documents the care provided

9. Performs all activities as directed by the Care Manager or BOM

10. Has a positive relationship with clients and families

11. Has positive client satisfactions

12. Meets all deadlines for health screening requirements and training.

13. Encourage maximum independence to facilitate rehabilitation as determined by EP and POC.

14. Respect client’s rights and ensure confidentiality.

Job Type : Part-time, full time, or per diem.

Salary : $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Benefits : Flexible schedule

Physical setting : Nursing home

Schedule : Day shift or Night shift and Holidays

Supplemental pay types : Sign on bonus, refferal program

Education : High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience : Certified Medication Aides : 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability : Night Shift (Preferred), Day Shift (Preferred), Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Work Location : Multiple Locations
