SLR International Corporation is seeking a Mid-Level Planner / Engineer to serve as a valuable member of our multi-disciplinary team.
SLR’s New Haven, CT office is currently the hub of this activity, but the need extends throughout our other Northeast US offices and therefore geography is flexible.
The candidate will be responsible for the preparation of transportation planning and traffic engineering studies, reports as well as support plans, designs, assist with the management of lower-level staff.
The right candidate will work on a wide range of projects which will include traffic analyses, roadway / traffic safety assessments, multi-modal planning / design projects, parking planning, and TDM studies.
You will work with our multi-disciplinary team of transportation planners, traffic engineers, environmental professionals, planners, civil engineers, and landscape architects / designers.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Engineering, Planning, or related field
- Professional Engineering license or TPCB or similar certification (, PTP, PTOE, RSP cert)
- Minimum of six (6) years of related professional experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to research, present and convey information clearly and concisely
- Experience with software including HCS, SYNCHRO / SimTraffic, VISSIM, CADD, GIS
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal guidelines / standards, policies, and procedures
- Desire to lead and be at the forefront of the evolving field of transportation
- Knowledge of emerging best-practices / guidelines in transportation
- Valid driver’s license

Compensation Range :
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $85, to $105, Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
