Your Opportunity with ECG : Consultant or Senior Consultant

As a consultant or senior consultant at ECG, you'll be an important part of our consulting team. You will join ECG as a member of our Healthcare Consulting Pool, where you'll have the opportunity to gain diverse experiences across divisions and project types within ECG.

Strategy & Enterprise Growth

Develop and support strategies, planning, organizational design, transactions, and partnerships that reposition health systems, academic health systems, physician groups, and medical and health sciences schools for impact and growth.

Payer Strategy & Contracting :

Optimize strategies, relationships, terms, and methodologies related to revenue and market position for healthcare providers, disrupters, and payers.

Health System Performance :

Lead comprehensive performance improvement and clinical program optimization across the full continuum of care, supporting high-quality care while driving operational and financial results across all care settings.

Medical Group Optimization :

Work with health systems and independent organizations to improve the performance of medical groups, with a focus on governance and leadership, integration, infrastructure and provider compensation (design, administration, valuation, and compliance).

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.
  • Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews.
  • Leading information-gathering efforts.
  • Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Defining project analyses and deliverables.
  • Communicating project progress and seeking input.
  • Developing depth of technical expertise.
  • Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
  • Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
  • Learning about ECG's breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.
  • Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
  • Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
  • Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.

Our Expectations of You

  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a healthcare-related field with a focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and logic
  • Master's degree in business administration and / or in a health-related field required
  • 1+ years of applicable experience for consultant level; 3+ years of progressive experience in healthcare consulting and / or hospital administration / operations for senior consultant level
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Adequate knowledge of advanced analytics or coding tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL); experience with modern visualization tools preferred (e.

g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker)

  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Track record of strong client service
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needs

Job Locations

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, or San Diego. Able to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days in office, when not traveling for work.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000 - $138,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting.

The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes.

This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy.

This job is also eligible to participate in ECG's benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching program, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
