Job Summary :
Candidate will work out of Fori’s Shelby Twp. Michigan facility and will report to the Machine Shop Foreman.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Candidate must demonstrate the following to be considered :
- Properly fit and weld components to print specifications.
- Set-up each work piece so that it can be completed in the most efficient way possible.
- Determine proper fixturing to fit / weld specific job(s).
- Proper maintenance of welding equipment.
- Housekeeping and clean-up of general work area.
- Inspect his / her own work to assure that print specs are achieve.
- Assist Machine Shop Supervisor relative to his / her work requirements.
- Read engineering prints.
- Make corrections to prints as needed in conjunction with Machine Shop Supervisor and Mechanical Engineering.
- Make recommendations to Machine Shop Supervisor about welding processes.
- Must read all types of micrometers and gages to verify work is correct to print requirements.
Education & Experience :
- High School Diploma Required
- Journeyman Welder preference
- Must know MIG, TIG, Aluminum welding
- 3 & 4 G certifications
