Document Control Specialist Level II / Inventory Control Specialist II
Bay Systems Consulting - ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Inventory Control Specialist II to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products.
- Organize cost effective domestic and international hardware shipments to support Deployment and Installation teams.
- Communicate pertinent information to employees and resolves any scheduling issues.
- Work with internal and external business partners to ensure that hardware shipments are packaged and shipped on time.
- Work with internal and external business partners to ensure that the correct products and quantities are shipped to applicable destinations to support Deployment and Installation schedules.
- Schedule, ship, and track delivery of hardware shipments to support Deployment and Installation teams.
- Track and maintain the location of records utilizing a personal computer-based tracking system to include, scanning bar coded boxes and their locations, updating tracking systems as required, backing up databases on a daily basis, archiving records, ship and receive records, coordinating the pickup, storage, and delivery of materials, monitoring the movement of equipment and records through all tasks from initial receipt through final disposition.
Performing records searches as requested by clients, maintaining logs on the receipt and shipment of equipment and preparing periodic inventories of records.
Prioritize various tasks, interpret specific instructions, and apply creative problem-solving techniques in a variety of situations.
Basic Qualifications :
- Must 2+ years of experience in hardware and peripheral configuration validation, scheduling, shipping, and tracking delivery of hardware shipments to support Deployment and Installation teams worldwide.
- Prior experience supporting both CONUS and OCONUS shipping
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to employ initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience working in a warehouse for a government contracting organization strongly preferred.
Education Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Security Clearance Requirements :
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
- A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings;
or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
