Raytheon is hiring a Software Engineer to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about.

In this role, you will use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions.

What You Will Do

Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object-Oriented architecture.

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.

Have a direct impact on critical operational capability.

The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience.

Experience in Java.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.

S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Agile and / or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).

Experience developing and utilizing application programming interfaces (API).

Experience with AWS

Experience with RDBMS databases such as Postgres.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

North Texas :

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
