DEPARTMENT : Radiology at Capital Region Medical Center
WORK LOCATION : Jefferson City, MO
SALARY : $22.00 / HR - $34.74 / HR
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS :
- $2.50 / HR for weekends
- $3.00 / HR call pay
- $2.00 / HR for evenings

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY :
Provide imaging service to patients while departmental expectations are met and sustained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of modality work area.
Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall.
Seek ways to improve systems and services.
Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.
Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards.
Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.
Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You).
Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
Participate in in-service education and outside educational programs.
Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
May complete unit / department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED :
General supervision is received from the Manager, Operations Program Coordinator, and Supervisor of Radiology.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED :
Supervision over Student Tech Assistants and Students performing clinical rotations.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Radiography program graduates must obtain ARRT within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Additional license / certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.
This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
