A Manufacturer of computer hardware and devices for military use is looking to hire a Manufacturing Process Engineer. Production / Process or Manufacturing Engineer would apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of Manufacturing and Production.
Also collaborate with Design Engineers engaged in product research, development, and manufacturing methods. Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills required.
Hours are Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm. Company offers Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Employee Assistance Program, Additional Life, 401(k) with match.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of Manufacturing and Testing
- Create production Routings, Bill of Materials, and Specifications
- Conduct standard tests and measurements; analyze and interpret experiments; and apply results to improve processes
- Design Tooling, Molds, components, or processes for efficient Production and Lean Manufacturing.
- Identify, analyze, and solve technical problems
- Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in both technical and non-technical environments.
- Identify and use appropriate technical literature and troubleshooting guides
- Repair or diagnose simple mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; and determine when to call in the experts.
- Not be afraid to get a little dirty and work in sometimes warm environments
- Function effectively as an important member of a team.
- Maintain a physical presence on production floor with dignity.
- Crouch, bend, reach and able to lift 50-70 lbs.
- Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment where required.
Requirements :
- Strong CAD drawing skills required (Solidworks Experience a Plus)
- Experience with Excel, Power Point, Word
- Knowledge, or school classes in modern machining and manufacturing processes
- Familiar with the use of Metrology Tools
- Commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Polymer Molding experience or schooled in Polymer Processing and / or Tool Design.
- Experience with 3-D Printing, machine coding, or PLC programing
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish a plus
- ERP / MRP experience
