Inpatient Medical Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately code medical records to ensure proper reimbursement for services

Assign and sequence appropriate ICD-10-CM / CPT / HCPCS / ICD-10-PCS codes

Analyze provider documentation for compliance and appropriate level assignment

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Coding certification required (CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, COC, CCA, or CPC-A)

Experience in inpatient and pediatric coding is required

Preferred experience in professional / technical surgical coding
