This job contributes to Starbucks success by moving trailers within the shipping yard, and between the juicery and off-site facilities based on shipping schedules, order volume and other business requirements.

Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

As an equipment driver, you will

• Deliver product to storage facility, distribution centers, or grocery stores
• Coordinate with shipping, receiving and material handling partners regarding workload requirements
• Move trailers as needed within the yard to facilitate loading and unloading. Shuttles trailers to and from off-site facilities based on business requirements.
• Perform general duties within functional area, including pallet consolidation, material handling, loading and unloading of trailers, and other related work.
• Perform routine inspection of yard tractor, including safety checks and fueling, adhering to applicable regulations and procedures.

Reports all maintenance and safety issues to shift lead or supervisor.

• Understand and follows established safety guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively works to prevent safety incidents.
• Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
• Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Current Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Over-the-road driving tractor-trailer combinations, including backing, hooking and dropping trailers and performing routine maintenance
• Ability to learn and accurately operate different computer systems
• Available to work variable shifts to support business needs
• Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
