Virtual School Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position Title : Virtual School Occupational Therapist
Job Type : Full-Time / Part-Time Contract Opportunity
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' specific goals and needs.
- Provide direct therapy services through virtual platforms, using evidence-based practices and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational and functional goals.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' occupational therapy needs and goals.
- Offer guidance and training to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs in the virtual learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in the field of occupational therapy and teletherapy.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist, preferably in a school setting.
- Experience with teletherapy or virtual service delivery is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IDEA, IEPs, and 504 Plans.
