Skills : Labor and Delivery, Level I Nursery, LDRP, Mother / Baby, NST (Non Stress Tests), OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC), Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Forceps / vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage / shock, Sterile vaginal exam, APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ("Baby Catcher"), Collect cord samples, ID / Security Banding, Radiant Warmers / Thermoregulation, Assist with Circumcision / Assess site post-op, Car Seat Education, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Phototherapy, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Thermoregulation, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, Nitrous Oxide, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Baby friendly protocols, Breastfeeding Support / lactation support, Episiotomy / Incisional Care, Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care, Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Isolation Precautions / PPE, and Vaccine Administration

Job Details :

Ratios : 1 : 2 all shifts

Patient Diagnoses : 9 bed LDRP, 36 weeks and up deliveries, Cytotec, Cervidil, Oxytocin IOL. Postpartum hemorrhage protocols and Magnesium protocols.

Special Equipment : Nitrous, Birthing tub, Birthing ball, Peanut ball, Novi

Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis for medication system and SBAR for communication
