Our client is seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator to join their team. This role involves setting up and operating band saw machines to cut metal stock pieces to specified dimensions, ensuring safe and productive saw operation.

Responsibilities :
Adjust speed / feed rate, tension the blade, set stops and guides, and operate saws to cut along scribed or measured dimensions.
Verify the dimensions of finished workpieces using calipers and measuring tape.
- Operate overhead magnet cranes to move materials over 35 lbs., ensuring all safety standards and procedures are followed.
- Pull and transfer correct stock from inventory to machine. Stage material for cutting using magnet cranes and forklifts.
- Clean operated equipment, perform light day-to-day maintenance, and notify Maintenance Technician of any needed repairs or safety concerns.

2nd Shift : 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM
Pay : $21 / hr
Location : Carol Stream, IL
Requirements :
- Experience setting up and operating band saw machines.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting measurements.
- Ability to lift and move materials over 35 lbs. following safety standards.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for equipment.
