General Function / Summary* :

The SmartPay Field Sales Representative position is responsible for influencing, educating, and supporting channel partners on the benefits of the SmartPay program.

Selling to market, and store level client leadership will be key to accomplish and exceed goals. FSR Position will be required to build and maintain relationships through effective communication, strategic store visitation, new hire trainings and ability to work closely with SmartPay leadership to execute strategy / action and business plans, to ensure corporate / national strategies are effectively communicated and deployed.

Essential Duties :

  • Provide customer support, sales support, and professional after-sales support when needed
  • Learn new product and services features and benefits
  • Establish a feet-on-the-ground relationship with key accounts and serve as both SP corporate sponsor within accounts as well as voice of the customer in relaying feedback from clients back to SP.
  • Respond to complaints and manage issues to ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Prepare and present reports on KPIs to SP team and retail partners on a merket level
  • Travel throughout assigned market, visit customers on a recurring basis, and build strong client relationships with retail sales asccoiates and key account influencers
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and / or customer accounts
  • Positively represent SP brand during all customer and prospect interactions
  • Educate stakeholders at client locations on benefits of products and services and the positive impact to their business
  • Monitor and report on industry competitors, new products, and market conditions.
  • Develop creative and innovative ways to market SP products and services
  • Provide activity and performance reports on a periodic basis for given assigned market
  • Correspond proactively with all corporate partners to maintain positive and long term business relationship.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to inform about new products, special promotions, etc.
  • Side by side selling with sales assciates to show the value of the SP program
  • Identify sales and marketing opportunities within the assigned districts.
  • Manage sales expenses within the allotted budget.
  • Recommend changes in sales or marketing approach to ensure sales and service objectives are met successfully.

Minimum Education and Experience Required :

  • High School Graduate or GED; 2 years sales experience
  • Comfortable on the phone and presenting in-person
  • Competitive, can-do attitude
  • Strong conversational / interpersonal skills
  • Able manage multiple accounts simultaneously and work independently
  • Proven time-management with an ability to coordinate action among multiple parties
  • Able to build productive relationships and influence retail-partner personnel.

Physical Demands :

Travel / Attendance :

  • Ability to travel by car several days per week, visit 8-10 locations per day, work remotely
  • Some air travel and overnight travel may be required
