Plant Manager- Martinez CA
The Plant Manager directs and manages all plant operations with overall site responsibilities for production, maintenance, and other production-related activities.
The Manager collaborates with Human Resources and Quality Assurance departments to ensure employees are safe, productive, and effective in their work.
Additional responsibilities include directing and / or facilitating safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost improvement, employee relations, team building, and performance measurement tasks and initiatives.
Plant Manager Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company and plant-specific goals and objectives
- Model and foster the company culture and values
- Model and facilitate company safety standards and initiatives
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
- Coordinate plant activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Develop and control profits, plans, and budget
- Identify, implement, and facilitate employee retention initiatives
- Identify and facilitate formal and informal employee development opportunities
- Provide direction, development and leadership to local management and non-management staff
- Instill a culture centered around continuous improvement within all departments
- Develop, communicate and implement a continuous improvement plan
Qualifications for the role include :
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years manufacturing and management experience
- Prior P&L responsibility
