Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the clinical practice of nursing and patient care in the Emergency Department and Clinical Observation Area.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans.
- Promote a culture of safety, customer satisfaction, and collaborative relationships.
- Manage staff competency development through assessment and education.
- Participate in hospital committees and multidisciplinary conferences.
Requirements
- Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department within an acute care hospital.
- Education : Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred.
- Licenses : Current California Nursing license.
- Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. (5+ years of progressive ED leadership)
- Special Knowledge : Familiarity with the California Nurse Practice Act and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
