Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician
We're looking for an EXPERIENCED AMMONIA technician with at least 5 years full-time experience and CARO or CIRO certification would be a plus.
No other candidates will be considered at this time.
Ammonia Technician Responsibilities :
- Provide maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration / ammonia systems while providing superior customer service
- Perform routine and emergency industrial refrigeration repair and maintenance services on Ammonia refrigeration equipment.
This includes compressors and electrical troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems and control / alarm systems
Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
Skills and Knowledge :
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair ammonia industrial refrigeration , mechanical, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration , electrical, and micro compressor control systems
- Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of ammonia refrigeration systems, and control alarm systems
- Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings
- Ability to read and interpret ammonia refrigeration manuals, documents, and drawings
- Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive ammonia refrigeration experience
- CARO or CIRO Certification, a plus
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Physically capable of climbing ladders, high elevations, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Available to travel up to 25%
- Available to be on call nights and weekend as required
- Basic computer skills for documentation
Pay Range :
This job will pay a hourly rate ideally between $45 - $60 per hour depending on experience. This is an non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime.
