We are actively looking for a Finance Director to monitor, coordinate, and complete all accounting activities for the agency.

The Finance Director will develop, maintain, and interpret the agency's accounting records, financial reports, accounting policies and procedures, program budgets, and data processing services that impact the agency's accounting processes.

SAGE's Finance Director will :

Develop, investigate, create, implement, and supervise the overall strategies and objectives for facilitating the accounting function of the agency.

Develop written policies, accounting standards, and procedures to assure uniform accounting practices, adequate internal controls, and compliance with statutes and regulations issued by local or federal governments and contracting agencies.

  • Generate complete set of Agency financial statements on a monthly basis, as well as monthly Departmental P&L's.
  • Act as main contact for Agency banking partners. Generate quarterly and annual financial statements and required supporting schedules to banking partners.
  • Direct supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager, Accountant, Payroll / Accounts Payable Staff person. Total Finance Department consists of 10 employees.

Interview, hire, and train employees, plan, assign, and direct work-flow, conduct performance appraisals, reward and discipline department.

  • Generate advanced financial analyses and sensitivity analyses related to new program opportunities, departmental restructuring, and pricing changes on contracts and renewals.
  • Responsible for ensuring that correct and timely invoices are generated and submitted to various government entities, as well as ensuring that AHCCCS invoices are properly and timely submitted to the health insurance plans that company has contracted with.
  • Oversee the accounting related for intercompany transactions with related entities and generate the financial statements for these related entities.
  • Apply internal control principles and techniques to develop accounting and control reports.
  • Provide the Executive Director with recommendations on accounting matters and on interpretation and application of various financial and accounting reports.
  • Prepare and maintain agency financial and accounting records and related software systems
  • Provide direction to program managers for the coordination and implementation of financial and accounting procedures.
  • In connection with other members of the Agency Management Team, develop, coordinate, and maintain client information and billing systems to accommodate the internal demands of the agency as well as the external demands of clients, insurance companies, contractors, and monitoring agencies.
  • Interface with insurance agents and carriers, as needed, to manage the corporate insurance policies.
  • Manage any external audits, including all necessary preparation, negotiation, and follow up processes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all corporate taxes.
  • Prepare cash disbursements for payment of corporate expenditures in accordance with disbursement policies.
  • Attend management and organizational meetings as assigned.
  • Follow and enforce all the Agency's Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Possess a bachelor's degree, or higher, and 8 years of experience of related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in writing, implementing, and monitoring financial policies and procedures that fully adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with AHCCCS (Arizona Healthcare Cost Containment System) reimbursement highly preferred. 70% of agency revenues come from AHCCCCS.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) System highly preferred.
  • Experience in medical or behavioral health field required
  • Must have highly-advanced MS Excel capabilities.

Salary : 120,000 - 130,000 / annual
