JOB SUMMARY :
Registered Nurses who join this fast-paced work environment will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients.
This unit consists of 48 beds, including a 4 bed epilepsy unit. Patients are offered a variety of highly specialized services including : Primary stroke care unit, neurosurgery (brain tumor and traumatic brain injury management, spine surgery), ENT (radical neck surgery, laryngectomy, thyroidectomy, tracheostomy, flaps, and facial trauma), Plastics (skin grafting, flaps, leech therapy, burns, re-attachment of digits / extremities), Urology (urinary tract infections, kidney stones, ureteral strictures, cystitis, benign prostatic hypertrophy).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) :
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
