Position Summary :
Responsible for the care & treatment of occupational therapy patients as established within the plan of care. Organizes and conducts occupational therapy -interventions to facilitate rehabilitation.
- Facilitates and encourages patient participation to promote occupational performance in accordance to disease processes and medical guidelines.
- Documents notes and flow sheets according to departmental guidelines
- Provide education to patient and family to improve occupational performance
- Works jointly with the registered licensed occupational therapist following outlined treatment plan.
- Recommends changes in treatment plan dependent on clinical judgment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Associate degree from an AOTA approved school of Occupational Therapy.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Computer skills for EMR documentation
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications
1 year experience preferred
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation
- Current California state license
- Eligible for membership in the AOTA
- Must adhere to code of ethics of the AOTA
- American Heart Association BLS card
- Los Angeles County Fire Card Required (within 30 days of hire)
