RBR-Technologies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support one of our customers in Columbia, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure and optimize network switches, routers and firewalls
- Configure Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
- Manage application layer filtering on NextGen Firewalls
- Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking, VLANs, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRFs)
- Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
- Diagnose network connectivity problems
- Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software
- Monitor network capacity and performance
- Mitigate network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties
- Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices
- Configure and manage a VMware Cluster to support multiple tenant systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active TS / SCI with polygraph
- Master's degree in STEM AND 10 years' experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in STEM AND 12 years' experience, OR
- High school diploma and 15 years' experience as a Network Engineer
- Experience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OS
- Ability to demonstrate cyber / IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
- Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)
- Active Cisco certification
