We are looking for a staff accountant who can assist our CFO with daily book keeping, invoicing and payment receipts.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Assist with internal and external audits, including providing documentation and explanations as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and analysis needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Conducting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Requirements :
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting, POS, and Debit software (Quickbooks Online, Dutchie POS, PAYNEX Debit Terminal Reporting, ATM Reporting)
- Familiarity with 280E compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Experience with cash flow analysis, financial statement preparation, and budgeting
- Previous experience in cannabis accounting is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred / CPA certification preferred
