Reports to : Director of Clinical Services
Education : Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or other related field is required.
Certification / License : BCBA required; MD and VA (or must be willing to obtain both licensures).
Summary : Providing leadership and organizational management in the following areas : client programming; behavior interventions;
staff development; classroom management; and parent training. In addition to training new and upcoming BCBAs and (R)BTs on the proper protocol and procedures in accordance with Ally policy and standards.
This position will operate as a billable trainer and have a corresponding billable hour requirement.
Ally Behavior Centers is a center-based early intensive behavioral intervention program designed to help children with autism fulfill their potential.
Our focus is on building communication, social, and adaptive skills and decreasing problem behaviors.
Essential Experience, Responsibilities, and Skills
- Maintain the billable hour requirement in accordance with the onboarding cadence. Minimum of 6 hours per week during an onboarding class, minimum of 15 hours per week in the absence of an onboarding class.
- Work collaboratively with others, such as OTs, SLPs, BCaBAs, ABA Therapists, government / educational employees.
- Effectively communicate Ally regulations, policies, and procedures to onboarding staff.
- Engage new hires and assist in setting expectations, enrolling them in required courses, and tracking progress / completion.
- Track new hires' progress daily and ensure adherence to the onboarding schedule. Escalate concerns or violations to an appropriate party as necessary.
- Supervise behavior technicians assigned to the caseload including providing training and supervision on the child's treatment plan, intervention techniques, timely data collection and entry, interobserver agreement, and fidelity checks.
- Partner with the Recruitment and Operations teams regarding new hires and current staff transitions.
- Create internal and external accounts as needed.
- Provide one-on-one services to clients if necessary.
- Evaluate and provide ongoing feedback and training to staff.
- Collaborate with other members of the team in a positive and professional way.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Sound understanding of the Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Work with new BCBAs to establish an understanding of assessment methods, Central Reach use, and other essential functions associated with the role.
- Lead weekly onboarding meetings and training sessions.
Desired Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst and state licensure where required.
- Well-rounded knowledge of ABA Principles.
- Proficient in public speaking and group facilitation.
- Ability to assess, treat, and problem-solve behavior intervention and skill-building programs.
- Professional Development and Training.
- Attend all mandatory staff and team meetings, lead onboarding classes.
- Maintain BACB Certification and relevant state licensure.
- Attend monthly trainings and professional development opportunities, as required.
- Complete Ally Behavior Centers specific and required trainings during an initial 90-day probationary period from start date - HIPAA compliance.
- Sit on the floor, kneel, crawl, squat, or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, and hold objects.
