The Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research (CEDAR) center is a collaborative institution within the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.

We are seeking a student worker that is pursuing a degree in a biology or engineering related field, preferably bioengineering.

No experience required, but preferable that they have experience with bioprinting. Key responsibilities are : Assisting with bioprinting, microscopy, image analysis, data analysis, materials and reagent preparation, and lab maintenance tasks.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*.

May also include some basic data entry and report generation. .

RESEARCH

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.

Education

• Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in one od below
• High School, OR
• Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
• Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)

Experice

• Tissue engineering
• Biofabrication of materials
• General research experience

Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic lab technique
• Capacity to think critically
• Willingness to learn
