We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a dedicated Inventory Control Manager at one of our top Westchester County clients! The individual will play a crucial role in managing lab supply inventory, courier reporting management, and cost reporting and analysis.
The role will be fully on-site and is key to driving our strategic objectives and priorities.
Responsibilities :
- Manage a perpetual inventory system for lab supplies.
- Forecast requirements and order products and equipment to meet production demands.
- Address serious variations in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale with suppliers.
- Oversee the receipt and returns of equipment, inventory, and other purchases.
- Prepare reports and spend analysis by vendor, department, purchasing category as required.
- Participate in the development / maintenance of the department cost saving tracking system.
- Assist in planning, developing, recommending, negotiating, and administering proposals and contracts.
- Monitor purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Conduct projects on cost savings initiatives across all major procurement spend categories.
- Analyze existing purchase agreements to optimize existing supply contracts.
- Communicate effectively with applicable business functions concerning inventory management.
- Manage control records to ensure that mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
- Report on courier and FedEx spend.
- Oversee the disposal of surplus material or scrap products.
- Manage inventory receiving personnel.
