Position : Bilingual Psychotherapist

Department : Mental Health Services

Reports to : Clinical Supervisor

Hours : Full-Time

Salary : $61,500

FLSA : Exempt

Location : On-site

Position Summary :

The Mental Health department offers individual, group, family, and couples’ therapy to community members. We provide services to clients ranging from early childhood to people experiencing end of life issues.

We offer medication intervention as well as psychiatric evaluation and management. For enrolled clients, the clinic has a 24 / 7 crisis line, monitored by clinical supervisors.

We take a trauma informed perspective to the work with the community, which includes various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Psychodynamic, and creative art therapies.

We support a strength based, client centered approach to the treatment. We view mental health issues through a systematic lens of micro, mezzo and macro levels of human experiences and stressors.

Responsibilities :

  • Work in close collaboration with School staff including the Principal, Teachers, Deans, Guidance Counselor, Parent Coordinator, and School Social Worker to receive referrals and coordinate treatment.
  • Maintain ongoing and close communication with the supervisor in regard to any and all aspects of the clinic.
  • Meet monthly productivity expectations.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to clients at an elementary school site.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment of all clients on caseload.
  • Conduct treatment planning for all clients on caseload.
  • Provide crisis intervention for all clients on caseload.
  • Provide psycho-education to clients.
  • Provide psycho-education to parents as collateral such as parenting skills, substance abuse, coping with a disability, risk of child abuse / neglect, advocacy and negotiating health and mental health and educational systems.
  • Conduct outreach to clients in order to ensure their attendance at appointments.
  • Complete all appropriate documentation for each client on caseload.
  • Coordinate and maintain collaborative relationships with neighborhood agencies as a liaison between the school and the community.
  • Actively participate in supervision, clinical case conferences, and educational seminars.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications :

  • LMSW or LCSW, LCAT.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability and interpersonal skills.
