About The Position
Job Title : CT Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology C.T. Scan Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 12 Hours Night (Monday-Wednesday, 7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours Experience : Minimum of one year of related experience License : Licensed Radiology Technologist in the state of employment Certifications : - RT (R) (CT) required - ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T) or CNMT registry required, or State CT registry - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association Must-Have : - Proficiency in patient care - Effective time management skills - Ability to maintain quality documentation - Knowledge of radiation safety and medical imaging - Strong skills in process improvement and scheduling Job Description : Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
- Perform and produce high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.- Follow standards of safe radiation practice, adhering to ALARA principles.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a role model for other technologists.- Serve as a clinical resource and ensure current standards of practice.
- Ensure safety for self, patients, and others during diagnostic imaging procedures.- Prepare and position patients for exams, offering necessary information and support.
- Observe patients and equipment, reporting / documenting unusual occurrences and conditions.- Ensure smooth patient flow and optimal use of equipment / resources.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.- Assist with patient transport and perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
- Perform technologist duties across other registered modalities as assigned.- Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies.
- Maintain clean and operational work areas and equipment, reporting any issues.- Engage in quality checks, equipment maintenance documentation, and continuous education.
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance.- Contribute to ACR accreditation efforts as needed.
