Location : 6500 Newberry Road, PO Box 147006, Gainesville, FL 32614

Project Duration : Full-time Permanent

Shift Preference : Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Sign On : 20k sign on

About the Facility :

Client Hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center. For over 49 years, we have served North Central Florida.

We offer comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, and neurosciences. We offer minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery and treatment.

Other services that we provide include women’s health and wound therapy. We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Our hospital has an Accredited Chest Pain Center by ACC (American College of Cardiology) and is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• 1 year of RECENT (Within the last year) of Observation / Med-Surg acute care RN experience. *Would be open to candidates having ER RN experience as well
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. BLS certification.

• What is the most seen type of patient a lot of Chest pain patients
• I would consider this floor to be fast paced / Right? Pretty fast paced
• What RN’s do good on this unit? RN's who have worked in Obs are typically very fast paced, our unit has a high patient turnover, its not unusual to discharge the majority of your team and get all new in your shift.

RNs with Emergency Room experience typically function very well on Obs because they are used to the pace.
