Position Summary : Network Engineer

The Network Administrator will be responsible for configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise network systems in campus LAN and WAN environments.
Essential Functions (not all-inclusive) :
- Recommend configuration and implementation of new components to production network and retail locations. Typical hardware includes routers, switches, firewall and wireless equipment
- Communicating with customers to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Communicating with service providers to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Conduct initial analysis of network problems and propose solutions
- As appropriate and requested, provide assistance to other departments and to customers on network related issues
- Ability to work after hours and periodic holidays to conduct system maintenance
- On call rotation with network group
- Potential travel to Distribution Centers and other Retail Store locations for purpose of conducting system maintenance, upgrades and implementations
- Execute project implementation ( new switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
- Vendor coordination to assist with technical evaluation of products and services
- Assist with the development of methods and procedures on new assignments
- Work with other team members and rotate support shifts as needed
- Develops relationships with external vendors with frequent interaction with relevant internal departments
- Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
Skills, Experience and Education :
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree preferred - OR - 5 years of relevant work experience can be substituted
- 5 years of industry networking experience with a solid understanding of TCP / IP, routing and switching concepts, BGP, OSPF, load balancers, firewalls and monitoring systems
- 2 year of experience supporting end users in a Juniper environment
- 2 year of hands-on experience managing Juniper policies changes & firmware upgrades
- 2 year of experience with enterprise deployment of firewalls
- 2 year of experience with enterprise deployment of managed switches
- 2 year of experience working with Juniper Switches, managing firewall filter policies, VLAN creation / segmentation, and OS upgrades
- 2 year of experience with design and implementation for enterprise deployment of Juniper switches. Experience with Junos Space platform would be a plus
- 2 year of experience with site connectivity management, such as ISP and cradlepoint
